@manton.org I began this series...and not sure what I felt off about it, but the wording; his style was just...off. It seems like he's a modern writer trying to write as if he's from the 19th century. Some authors (take Octavia Randolph, for instance), are good at that, particularly if the series in question takes place back then, but he's not.
