Randomness from an IT eclectic in Boston Mass: Kat's Microblog

Notes For April 30th, 2026

Well, Sox had the series taken from them by the Bluejays; Bello blew it (no surprise there) Crochet has been moved to the 15-day injured list, so, as a fan, I’m thinking that our electric, terrifying, imposing, No. 70 could get a longer stint. As a diehard fan who also looks at the stats, we are not doing well; I know that, the team knows that. the burning question…how will we spend these next five and a half months? Will we spend them in the basement…or will we rally? I will pray to Ullur and Skadi that we can turn this thing around.

Technically Speaking…

On that side of things, unfortunately there’s not much at all to report; most of my networking projects are on hold, not to mention there’s a bit of a derailment due to others' interests in my friend group potentially crowding mine. While I intend to keep a focus on traditional networking, (more on that), there is growing interest in Reticulum, Meshcore, and other forms of decentralized networking. In light of all of the projects that seemingly pop up in that space in a short time, I would even wonder whether true “decentralization” is just a myth? I only say that because seemingly none of the projects that are around currently have ever seemingly come to fruition. It’s also mind-boggling to try and comprehend every single one of them; they all seemingly are vying for the same purpose while at the same time trying to add their own individual spin based on the whims of the developer of the given project. to be continued…
