Randomness from an IT eclectic in Boston Mass: Kat's Microblog

What's happening in my life?

Where Have I been?

You are probably asking that question…considering for the last several months, at least, this space has been nothing but checkins. I profoundly apologize for potentially boring you, but there has been nothing of substance really happening in my life at the moment. I’m hoping that will change within the next couple of months. In the not-too-distant future, I hope to see the following:

One thing I have done, which I’m very proud of, is removed my personal email from office 365 business and I now pay the hosting provider MXRoute, and other than a couple of applications who block smaller providers, hence blocking my ability to sign up with the email address that goes with this blog, I have had no issues at all. Even easier is the ability to set up notifier email addresses for different aspects of my life (and possibly beyond depending on how many things go smart these days), which is a hell of a lot easier than having to set up a shared mailbox on Office 365 for the same, at least from a management prospective. At the moment, they are probably being driven insane by the number of notifications I have been receiving from my basic alert notifier from Eset, due to the fact I still need to renew that subscription. (I will be doing that just as soon as I get paid once again.)

Programming

Since the Sonic Guild began helping out with the Mewdeko Discord bot, I have sincerely been considering upping my knowledge in the C# language, after all, having spoken to quite a few developers in the wild, many of them have stated how C# could solve the majority of their problems. It’s a powerful language, and I firmly feel that due to its origins as a Microsoft product, it isn’t worth learning or studying. I aim to prove a bunch of people wrong on that.
