Dietary Questions Of The Morning

This question this morning is for the scientific/dietician folk out there. I’m thinking very seriously about lessening my reliance on poltry (I will eat red meat, but frankly, if it were to ever go away, good riddance) and focusing more on plant materials… Not to say that I am planning on becoming a full vegetarian or anything, just lessening. (chicken or fish in my salad? Of course. Fish? Of course.) Is it really essential that humans eat meat? Were we even made for it? I read somewhere that we weren’t, but then other scientific folks say otherwise (the book where I read that from, the author is more a lay theologian than a scientist.) Thoughts?
